Summer fun, and we’ve only just begun
We hit up a local strawberry festival last weekend and had a grand ol’ time. Here’s a few highlights.
Almond tea and cinnamon chips with fresh strawberry salsa
Waiting for Daddy to come back with her corn on the cob. So hungry she’s eating a paper brochure that was handed out. Not really.
Nom, nom, nom. Corn on the cob is like crack to this kid.
There was a ceramic cow sticking out of a VW Bug at a booth with strawberry milk. It’s Wisconsin, we put cows everywhere. Addy decided to let this one smell her armpit. Is it just me or is that lady shotgunning her strawberry milk in the background totally distracting?
Taking a brief snooze in the shade.
Scuffed up, dirty summertime feet, complete with battle scars from attempts at crawling.
I love days like these. Hot, sweaty kids worn out from outdoor fun, great food and drink for the grown ups, and shady trees near creeks for us all to relax under. This is what summer is all about.
