Inspiration for next year’s Halloween costume

It started with a play date at kiddie-nirvana, a giant room blazing with primary colors and inflatable jump houses and tubes and slides and video games and flashing lights and mega huge overstimulation.

Naturally, Adeline loved it.

From there, we headed to Addy’s cousins’ birthday party. After spending her morning running through plastic tubes and hurling herself down plastic slides, she was a little electrically charged.

Her hair did this for about an hour anytime a synthetic material came near her.

And apparently when that much static electricity takes hold of your body, a metamorphosis occurs.

Your baby turns into Yoda.

We kept waiting for her to use The Force to make her sippy cup levitate, but she must have been worn out from such a busy day cause it never happened. So now we’re trying to get her to say, “Very much bottle want I.” It’s a work in progress, but I’m amazed at how Star Wars seems to have a continuing role in Adeline’s life.
