Mission accomplished

I got the photo, and about one hundred more. We had a great family vacation to Door County, in spite of my entire family getting sick and my daughter waking me up by puking on me. More details to come (not just about the puke, promise). For now, here’s the latest addition to our family portrait at Eagle Tower.

Our 1 year anniversary. Sadly, I can’t find the photo from a year earlier, taken immediately after Joey proposed.

Fast forward 4 years, and I experienced waddling up the steps of the tower for the first time. This is July 2009, one month before Adeline was born.

The following summer and an 11-month-old Addy’s first trip to Door County.

And the summer after that, where I waddled up the steps a second time. This is July 2011, 3 months before Crosby was born. Addy is almost 2.

And here we all are. The entire family. Addy is almost 3, Crosby is 8 months and we’ve been married for almost 8 years.

I think I said this last year, but I love that I have a physical place I can associate with the start of my family, the start of our life together. I look forward to taking this picture every year and am already lining the walls of our home with them.
