Sir gets a trim
Fact: Joey and I make babies with profuse heads of hair. Addy had her first haircut at 4 months, and so did Crosby, just as his newborn hairs were starting to poke him in the eyes. Both cuts were given by a family friend/stylist named Molly. She’s given Addy almost every haircut she’s ever had (except for one really awful one we got at a kiddy salon). Molly makes it so easy, opening her home to my kids and playing with them before and after. Addy is always more than happy to pay her visit.
Crosby’s cut proved challenging because every time Molly touched his head, he tried to look towards her hand, which isn’t a good when there’s a scissors in it. So, it took the efforts of 3 people to get the job done – Molly trying to cut and my parents holding Crosby’s head still. I was at work when this went down. It’s amazing how differently I’m handling milestone events the second time around.
The first snips went well.
Reinforcements are called in.
When the stylist pulls out a ladder to get the job done, you know she means business.
Success! Nice job, Team First Haircut!
Addy and Crosby check out each others new ‘dos.
Thanks to Molly and crew for fixing this wild look:
- Easter finery
- Month 5: I love this age
He is definitely a good looking dude.
Reading this and remembering the experience brings tears to my eyes. Love,Dad
