Technology casts its magic spell
What, oh, what could this sweet little girl be so intently staring at?
.
Is it her adoring mother that she’s so engrossed with? Or perhaps she’s gazing out the window, wishing on shooting stars and naming constellations?
.
.
Or maybe what’s happening is that this normally insanely active toddler halts all movement-practically stops blinking-when cartoons appear. They’re like crack to Adeline.
.
In general, Addy is defenseless when it comes to technology. Computers, television, ipads, iphones…she’s instantly captivated.
.
She knows how to work them all, as she flips through photos on Grandma’s ipad, watches videos of herself on her other Grandma’s cell phone and “plays” Angry Birds on Auntie’s iphone.
.
All the while, I can barely operate my Android and am simply not equipped to handle T.V. malfunctions.
.
I suppose it’s only natural though, that a girl born into a techno-crazed era, where information is more likely gathered off a screen than from papers, be adept at using smart screens from birth.

Wouldn’t Apple be please to know just how intuitive their products really are?
- Why the baby came after the remodel
- At the right angle and with the right lighting, my baby almost looks chubby
It is intuitive…if you are born into it:-)
Great points here. It is amazing how children are picking up technology at such a young age. It really does only make sense when it is such a huge part of our daily lives in today’s culture. Thanks for the post. Your daughter is adorable!
Ooh baby! Can’t help but love her….
