Saturday morning at my house…
…where we gather in bed at 7:30 to play and snuggle and laugh. Where sippy cups of milk and mugs of hot coffee are savored or spilled, and breakfast always ends with a chase around the kitchen and a quick scrub down.
Where boxes adorn heads and toys litter the floor. Where books are read, thrown and kissed a millions and one times.
.
Where baskets of clean laundry become ransacked and worn.
Where my heart burst with love and beats out how luck I am. Where I wish I could spend every day of the rest of my life.
I’m off to a conference in Portland, Oregon for a few days. Can you tell I’m already missing my family?

Liz,
If you’re staying in Portland proper and havesome time you might enjoy a visit to the Classical Chinese Gardens. Enjoy our 50 degrees and sun (at least on Tuesday.
Ahhh…I hope it goes quickly so you can rush home to them:-)
Thanks, Susie!
Suzan – I’m loving it so far! My heart leapt when my plane landed and I saw GREEN GRASS instead of piles of snow. Portland is a great city!
Wold love to have the name of your illustrator. I love the whimsical flavor of your blog title/header.
Thanks in advance
