A Constructed Life

The Return of the Jedi Drywaller

Long ago, in a galaxy far, far away, Liz and Joey attempted to rescue their home from the clutches of vile crumbling plaster walls by replacing them with drywall.

Little did they know that Drywall had far greater powers than their own, and that each attempt to hang it themselves would result in utter failure and horrible frustration.

They turned to a Drywaller, Jeff the Douchebag, for professional help, only to find he was sent from the PLASTER EMPIRE to thwart their plans for new smooth walls.

Just as circumstances became dire, Bill, a member of the Drywallers Alliance, rescued Liz and Joey’s walls from the clutches of evil, eliminating plaster and replacing it with majestic, peace-making drywall.

Now, when confronted with the ultimate weapon – a kitchen riddled with plaster walls – Liz and Joey turned to Bill and the Drywallers Alliance to save them from ultimate doom…

That’s right! Our own personal Jedi is back! Now that Cheerio Steve has finished his electrical work, our hero, Bill the Drywaller, is back on the scene to give us lovely walls…walls that don’t crumble when you hang a picture…walls that aren’t riddled with cracks…walls that are brand spanking new.

Here is why we like Bill so much:
1. He’s a really nice guy. When it was sweltering hot last week, he called to see if we wanted his window air conditioner cause “I can’t imagine what this heat is like for a pregnant woman.”
2. He calls us if he’s running late, runs into a problem or has a question.
3. He is FAST! It would take Joey and I three hours and at least 2 fights to hang a sheet of drywall and Bill will have the entire kitchen finished in one afternoon.
4. He makes nice with our building inspector, chatting him up and making sure he’s in a great mood when he walks through our house to approve things.

Now, to be totally honest, we would love Bill even more if he worked with a wookie and applied drywall mud with a light saber or by using “the force,” but that’s asking a lot of a drywaller.
