And the winner is…
Before I make the announcement, let me first say how great it was to hear from so many of you. I loved getting a glimpse of the personalities who read this blog and hope to hear from you more – you guys crack me up!
Now, on to what you’re here for…
I wanted to make sure this drawing was handled in a fair and professional manner, so I asked two of my coworkers – John (who made the “anonymous” male pattern baldness comment on Monday) and Cheri – to assist me for a brief moment. We all borrowed a few minutes from our lunch break to get this accomplished this morning for you fine folks.
First, let me warn you that these are some of the most unflattering pictures I have ever seen of myself. This is what a pregnant woman looks like after attempting to sleep in an unair-conditioned home when the heat index is 100 degrees and her baby is using her bladder like a trampoline. In other words, I’m a little disheveled and swollen looking. Also, pardon the boobs. I’m still adjusting to them.
First, I wrote all of your names down on little sheets of paper and picked up a pom-pom to illustrate that I’m rooting for you all to win.
I then placed all the folded up sheets of paper in a bowl and asked Cheri to draw a name. See how excited she is to be helping? And I’m still rooting for you all to win!
And what name did the lovely Miss Cheri select?

You two are the lucky winners of a new 3’ X 5’ cranberry-colored, eco-friendly rug from CNSRugs, makers of fine area rugs and more. I hope it ties in nicely with one of the many rooms you two have fixed up!

I just had a funny thought – what if 200 people commented to win the rug… I don't think you would have been shakin' that pom-pom then! More like early arthritis! I'm sure you would have found a different way to select a winner. But it does make you wonder "what if…"
