What Remains of My Shoes

They’re disappearing quickly…faster than I anticipated. When on my feet, I have to crane my neck around my belly to see my shoes. Here’s the last little bit of them…

Bye, bye shoes! I’ll miss you. See you in about 4 months…tread carefully in the meantime, and try to stay cute. Now I understand why pregnant women go nuts buying baby shoes…it’s because they can no longer see their own.

Even though only 2 weeks have passed since the last belly shot, I want to include this photo cause the above shoe shot makes me look absolutely huge, and I’m really not that big yet. So, here’s the belly at 21 weeks…

Remember when I said I thought I felt the baby moving? Well, I wasn’t. According to my doctor, I was actually feeling the pangs of my uterus stretching and mild Braxton Hicks contractions, which are normal to be getting (isn’t that nice? Sorry, baby girl, but mommy confused your first movements with her internal organs wigging out. Please don’t hold this against her and date strange boys as an act of retaliation). However, I am NOW officially feeling the baby move and it’s like popping in my lower abdomen.

This is a good demonstration of what it feels like inside my stomach now…

…except with much fewer balls moving at a much slower and sporadic pace. No wonder I keep getting urges to play Bingo.
