Our Likeness…Drawn in Chalk

If Joey and I were made of chalk, this is totally what we would look like.

I have no idea who created this work of art during Joey’s 30th birthday party, but clearly they think we are approximately 80 years old and that I would look best with a permanent and a housecoat that accentuates my pear shaped body. And I have a mysterious hump on one of my shoulder. And wow! has Joey lost a lot of hair. Man, we look like crap in our old age.

At first I thought it was these two adorable children, Sasha and Jaxson, who turned our sidewalk into a masterpiece.
Notice how smokey the room is from Joey trying to blow out ALL his candles. Now that he’s 30, he had a hard time getting enough oxygen to fill his lungs and blow them out.

But then I realized the children can barely connect the lines to form their names, let alone draw our caricature. This leads me to believe an adult of some sort is responsible for this ‘Portrait in Chalk.’ That same adult also decided to scrawl the number 30 up and and down the entire sidewalk on our block…just in case Joey forgot for a moment that his twenties are over.
Funny thing about chalk – it doesn’t go away until it rains. And it’s been a very dry week here.
