A Constructed Life

Is This What the Boy in the Bubble Felt Like?

I’m living in a home encased with plastic. This either means that I have A) A deficient immune system like John Travolta in the 1976 movie The Boy in the Plastic Bubble

B) My home is being fumigated

or

C) The painters are about to come through to spray the walls of the foyer, hallway, mudroom and back bedroom.

The correct answer is ‘C.’ You win a pony!

Drywaller Bill, who is the third member of our Three Musketeers of home remodeling (the other two are Plumber Rick and Electrician Steve), spent a full day just taping off the windows, doors, banister and floors in plastic so they wouldn’t get covered in paint. Since the windows and doorways are sealed off, it’s kinda hard to move through the house and the air is a bit stagnant. But that’s okay…no place to go and a lack of oxygen create a great excuse to just sit on your hiney.
