Tool Review: Saber Saw

This is a Saber Saw. It’s really great at cutting curved lines to create decorative woodwork, and with the right blade, it can cut through just about anything. We didn’t use it for anything that exciting. Instead, we used it to cut the subfloor in the attic, which required straight cuts for the most part. We started the project with a circular saw, but found we needed to make turns in our cuts to get around a chimney and other obstacles. This little tool worked like a charm. It belongs to my dad, who has just about every tool that exists. Although the saber saw was really helpful for this particular project, I don’t think it’s a tool that the average homeowner would be reaching for too often.
