This is how I imagine the three wise men felt when they saw Baby Jesus
What do you see in the image below?
A car in a garage? Sure, that may be what it looks like you to you. But to me, it’s among the most glorious and beautiful things I’ve seen.
That’s my car, which I’ve had for almost 3 years, parked in our garage. That car has never been parked in our garage before. In fact, no vehicle of any kind has been inside of our garage for 4 years. And that’s because our garage has been filled with a rotating menagerie of crap for years as we gutted and rebuilt our house. Drywall, trim, floor boards, cabinets, furniture…you name it, it’s been inside of our garage.
Joey’s New Year’s Day surprise to me was a clean, organized garage with just enough space for my car. Now that we’re entering the bitter-cold winter months of a Wisconsin winter, I’m thrilled to escape the frigid task of scraping ice and snow from my car each morning before work.
Hallelujah, indeed!
