How to immobilize a toddler

We took our annual trip to a Christmas tree farm last weekend to pick out our tree, which meant squeezing Addy into her new snowsuit and boots so she could come along.
.
Just the act of wearing them was an interesting experience for her.

.
But things got really interesting when I put her boots on. Apparently snowsuit + snow boots + mittens = immobile toddler. The poor kid couldn’t stand up.

.

I chalked it up to our slippery wood floors, but snow didn’t seem to help her efforts.

.

Finally, success! For a brief moment at the tree farm, she got to her feet.

.

But like I said, it was brief.

.
She was worn out before we could even select a tree, and ended up sleeping through the exciting, endless game of “How ’bout this one?” “You mean this one?”  “No, this one.” “I hate that one. How ’bout this one.”

She’s totally dreaming of sugar plum fairies.

These pictures are so frickin’ cute! This reminds me of the little boy in A Christmas Story..what was his name again? Nothing cuter than a toddler in a snowsuit 🙂

Hopefully we’ll get to see Addy for a bit while we’re in Wisconsin for the holidays!

We thought the samething when we saw her all wintered out. . . . . “I can’t put my arms down”! Classic line in the movie. It looks like she likes the snow and that’s good because we need all the help we can get shoveling ourselves out!
