A Constructed Life

Thank you

A quick note
A brief little thank you
To say
I appreciate your coming here

From Maryland to Florida and all the way to Germany
You check in
Read what I write, look at a picture
Catch a little glimpse into the story that is my life

And I wonder about yours
Who you are, what you do
Wish I could reach across the Internet to shake your hand
I try to entertain, to be real, to be interesting
To strike a chord of similarity – a place where what goes on in my life isn’t too far off from yours.

Sometimes I succeed and love the words I put up here
Other times, well…they’re not so great.

So thank you.
To NV, to Susie, to Tracylynne, to Kelly and to Ethan
The people who’ve graciously been coming here for years.
You are so kind to me.

And to the new ones or the quiet ones
Thank you, too.
For reading all the good and politely suffering through the crap

Every day that I do this, I am thinking of you. And even when it’s bad, I have the best intentions of making it good.

HI! I have been one of the "quiet ones" reading your blog (I think I found it through facebook). It is awesome-you do such a great job and I am so happy that you have such a wonderful life 🙂

Actually I was browsing the net when I saw your blog and I was touched because what caught my eyes was the word "thank you!" even though my name was not included but I was very happy. From now on I'll visit your blog daily..

    Thanks guys!

And Carrie – thank you so much for reading! I'm so glad you do! It looks like you and your family have a fantastic life too. Sometimes I feel like I can barely handle one little one and you're doing an amazing job with two!

I just wanted to say how much I enjoy your blog. I think you're hilarious and, dare I say, a kindred spirit. I randomly found your blog off of a cupcake blog (mmmm . . . cupcakes), and now I quietly check in everyday to see what you've written. I think of you as my internet buddy even though you don't know me. Anyway, keep up the great work! It's a pleasure to read.

Sara – Thank you so much for your kind words, reading the blog and leaving a comment! It's great to hear from you! And if you found my blog off a cupcake blog (could it be No one puts cupcake in a corner?) then we are definitely kindred spirits!
