A Constructed Life

In London, They Call Me Amy

On the internet, where a new blog or website is born every few seconds, it feels a bit like a miracle when people actually discover the segment that you’ve crafted into your own. It’s even more miraculous when other people mention your blog on their piece of the internet pie – whether it be in a way that’s good, bad, true or false. Yesterday, I found my blog mentioned on a London-based website, Problem Solved, and although it wasn’t 100 percent accurate, I was still happy to see my blog mentioned anywhere else besides on my own blog. Here’s what I found:

You’ll notice that they call me Amy. My name is Liz. You may also notice that in their version of my blog, my unborn child was fathered by Ralph, the kind carpenter who stopped by the other day. Although my blog would probably get more traffic if I had had a torrid love affair with a good, Christian carpenter, the mundane truth of the matter is that my husband of 5 years, Joey, knocked me up. Also, I’m mildly perplexed at the image of people mini-golfing next to my blog’s description. I’m going to assume that they read the posts about how Scottish my family is. Scots are known golf enthusiasts and I’m sure a large percentage of them also enjoy the sport in its miniature form. See? It makes perfect sense.

Regardless of these things, I very much enjoyed finding and reading their synopsis of my blog on their site and I greatly appreciate them mentioning my little piece of the vast internet pie. Thank you!

Here’s a link to the site to see the post about my blog and so you can click around. It seems very helpful, separating quality UK tradesmen from the crappy ones (at least we know America isn’t the only place with them).

As of this morning, the good folks at Problem Solved corrected their post, which was kind of them to do.
