A Constructed Life

Panic

See this room?

We’re supposed to finish it by tomorrow night. I have been panicking for days about this room, trying to squeeze as much work as possible into each hour of the day. I’ve been anxious for so long that ‘panic’ has actually become my new ‘calm.’

You know how it is when a deadline comes barreling at you – you work frantically and obsessively, determined to meet that deadline date head on. For the past week and a half, this room, the master suite, has consumed my life. Why the rush? The floor guys are coming on Wednesday to start refinishing the floor and we feel like we should have the walls painted by then.

We primed the drywall (with help from Joey’s dad, aunt and uncle) yesterday. I go home tonight to roll on the texture on to the walls and then we’ll paint the walls on Tuesday. But here’s the glitch in that plan – we haven’t picked out paint colors yet. I have a feeling this is going to be the Koala Bear incident all over again.

Good luck! I’d want to have the walls painted too… but if your careful you can always paint after. Hope it all goes smooth.
